Solid Mensuration Circle Problems With Solution

stamps within this that I can not see!

In 1906, the postal administration was rocked by a true and funny polemic
The case of the stud!

The original design of the Sower by Oscar Roty gave birth in 1903 to the first series of stamps called "Sower line" whose chief file corresponding to the price of the letter was 15 cents a simple green. Stamp
mythical since remained in the annals as being the first type have been issued a sower, April 2, 1903.

change in postal rates has brought back a few years later at 10 cents the cost of postage of the letter simple and to mark the occasion as they say, the sower had to lose (to please better) its bottom line as well as its sun, to find their feet firmly on the ground, and ground with Sower was finally issued April 13, 1906:

The aesthetics of this stamp does not give satisfaction, despite two draws, and slight alterations whose goal was to better reflect the silhouette of our beloved Sower.
It will not long remain on sale. The minister was not happy!

We then tried to satisfy all costs, even going so far as to change the sun room is tell you! ...

He was offered a brand new design, very little success elsewhere, and fortunately remained at the trial, which included the sun not behind but ahead of the sower, so that the shadows are observed. This was not the case on the sower line, and had already spilled much ink! Not to mention the fact that sows against the wind, which is already an aberration for any farmer!

To enable the minister to compare this with the sun in front Sower was printed on sheets mixed, combined with that which rested on a floor (two superimposed panels of 50 stamps of each kind), which has left us very rare and quite spectacular vertical pairs:

Note that these famous sheets were printed from April 7, that is only six days before the show! We must believe that the controversy then beat in full, and that decisions were taken in an emergency just days before the new rate ... Which is never good, either.

It was then that the ground has decided to delete. This gave birth
(fortunately for us philatelists) with very few trials, strangely called Sower with soil without soil :

The result was this time quite convincing, but one thing still vexed policy makers of time: beyond the stud! In

ogled a little closer to our chest Sower, some are indeed vicious imagined she sowed shirtless (though absurd idea), or that her left breast had escaped from her bosom, proudly pointing straight ahead!

Even with dirty minds, it takes much imagination to find any resemblance to a nipple! They should not see every day on the beach at the time!
It exists even in the archives, a letter officially offended by the Minister, requesting deletion of this "stub" for our disgraceful national effigy! ...

A minister being a minister, it was something done immediately: that Appendix that was actually the top of the bag of seed, was eliminated in turn and will not appear on no stamps ever Sower not the type strain, from the following program called Sower lean :
Few collectors know, even if 'They spend their days looking at the scrutiny of thousands of stamps to the type Sower, for a century!

We imagine the poor writer, surely sought urgently, trying to remove that part of the punch, just to satisfy the whims ministry!

This etching, thin, has also been retouched in emergency, or two types of stamps again: the first offered for sale seemed featureless, and the sale had to be stopped in a panic that day. The latter, retouched and made a little later, however, are much better!

Sower thin! ... Not that he has, in addition to that imposed a regime, but so named because of the stamp entries are made of the finest characters goods on the following programs. Emissions from 1907 which were in turn, be referred to as "fat Sower" (or cameo Sower, what we have already seen). All this

history (and still counting ...) allows us to appreciate, however, gave himself so badly that the Post Office to create a stamp! The success and longevity of our Sower probably come in part from the attention that he was wearing.

The current administration would do well to inspire, and reflect on the examples, sometimes comic, as his predecessors have left him ...

Glory Hole In Orlando

All is full of love ...

Love overflows: it appears in nature. I've experienced, and Christiane Singer confirms it with the right words ... and yes, bright.

Help, save, or save others while doing so he must know nothing: that's what Arthur in "The King of Avalon", or Cai in "No returns ..." More modestly I gave a ticket restaurant in an old lady in the street, into believing she had let him down, or at least that I was convinced. I'm not proud of this little trick Sioux!
Sure others have done this for me, too: no later than this summer, a trip to Italy was a gift almost casually but secretly intended to save my life ... Small

linguistic pleasure of the moment: the last few weeks, everything (especially anything) for me is "abysmal" when he is not "cosmic". Example of an ordinary conversation at the end of 2008: "We came face to face is at the corner of the street, I assure you, it was truly cosmic. Or again: "So there, frankly, let me tell you that I have a doubt as abysmal! "Some words are treats that we enjoy: those, pronounce them enough to make me smile!

Request For Temporary Disconnection Letter

From the obscure, clarity and masks in literature

Temptation of light after all these years to flatter the dark, the dark, the dark, I gradually takes a surprising attraction to clarity - calm and peacefulness, serenity. Provided, of course, clear that this is a hard struggle won from the shadows, and always surrounded and threatened by it - otherwise why bother? This is a blade, however, rather than dusk.
Waiting with curiosity to see the impact that this change could have a "light" on my writing to come ...

M. is a rare reader: it is just trying to pull myself up to my own height. Rigor overcomes mine, often failing, his lucidity my blindness to my own lyrics. I'm not sure I deserve the chance to have such a reader!
With his comments on "The King of Avalon "I became fully aware of something already approached: too often, I like to hide beneath the flashy trappings true about my writing. Something in me (for some modesty unwelcome?) Conspires to n'exhiber that the anecdotal: in my stories, the hidden meaning ahead.
It may be objected that literature is a whole set of masks: Certainly yes, but a game that, in a double movement, conceals and reveals its meaning. Now I, I think I multiply the posturing, or hocus-pocus, as if to prevent the emergence of some horrible secret (this emerges yet irresistibly but hollow, so to say, is tenuous and almost miraculous that owes me nothing ... and maybe save my texts of complete inanity).
Thus, compliance with codes of genre literature (fantastic or wonderful) to me is a ruse, intended, first, to conceal the essentially intimate of my remarks and, secondly, to evade freedom frightening and overwhelming prestige of what it is called (horribly) the general literature.
These comments make me seriously think that my practice of writing is at the stage (indefinable) preceding literature, rather in the literature itself.
Conclusion of this: I must now find a new discipline to go against my natural tendency, instinctive, animal, the secret to concealment. Several ancient texts could advantageously be submitted: "Avalon," So, "The River", but also my recent "Richard the Lion Heart" ...

It's Friday ... Shamanism and Mystical

Whence comes the love? I caressed
other loops
And I have known
lips darker than yours.

The stars lit up and died
(Hence comes the love?)
And eyes lit up and died
Immersed in my eyes.

I heard other songs
the night dark and black
(Hence comes the love?) -
head on the singer's heart.

Whence comes the love?
And what can I do with teenage
Malicious vagabond singer,
For longer lashes that long?

Is There A Fogger To Get Rid Of Mise

cry

I thought all the harm possible Kounen, because of the reputation of Dobermann (that of a movie 'mode', violence and gratuitous aesthetic) that I had not even seen. I vaguely knew, because of a feature film later, Blueberry (not seen), his personal journey had gone through shamanism. I had no idea he had done during one year, repeated experiments of altered states of consciousness, guided by a shaman Shipibo, Questembetsa, Peru.
other worlds the film he shot this year is less a documentary about the shamanistic practices (as such, it would be disappointing) that the story of an intimate experience, extreme and founder - narrative whose sincerity touched me deeply (through this experience, including Kounen said, "I realized that I had never lived in my body and I was never out of childhood "I quoting from memory, and those who know me know how this sentence could question me! He also speaks through the looking glass and experience closeness with death).
Ayahuasca hallucinogenic properties, has allowed the director to explore new territories inland to confront his fears, to shatter its old landmarks, its false certainties, and restructure a new way: Event of beauty and violence similar to those of a new birth.

One of those interviewed in the documentary Kounen highlights how Western rationalist denigrates these magical practices. We must recognize that, in many ways, I myself am extremely Western, rationalist (but I treat myself): Nothing makes me more afraid that people deserted by reason (it is "the Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters "by Goya), and I am also afraid when I feel myself to spend" wing of madness! But this fear is cohabiting with me (I believe it) with a strong curiosity about the unseen, a taste for monsters, and the undeniable temptation sinkholes.
The same speaker (I think it's the same) also emphasizes how to organize itself over time, the churches, they also moved away from such practices "magic". Indeed, with regard to Christianity, when we consider the origins of mystical experiences or those of the Middle Ages (all these cries, swoons, these spasms, these ecstasies, these tears, the agony!), One wonders how we could arrive at demonstrations of faith as warm and civilized than today (this reflection does not come to me by random: it is that I'm re-reading old notes devoted to the "mystic art" in the Middle Ages, but I will come back here, no doubt) ...

Suicide Texting Hotlines

Taste Other Festivals of

Since this blog is becoming customary Yaw extra-literary, as make me happy here and have a nice initiative of my friend Nathan: Nathan is a volunteer for years in an association that helps migrants, all migrants, regardless of their status administration.
long time, she thought of a project that would allow him to reconcile this activity with his taste and talent for Kitchen: This project has come into being, it's called Taste of the Other.
This is a monthly meeting around a meal prepared with four hands, between migrants and "French" rare encounter, sometimes impossible, between people who live side by side but not together. At each meal, "Chef" offers a menu of his country of origin, and Nathalie using the stove. The meal is a complimentary room lent by the municipality of the 4th arrondissement of Paris.
It seems important to support initiatives of this kind, because I do not see how we can collectively improve the human life on this planet if we remain stuck in our certainties, bundled up in our fears and barricaded across our borders (if anyone has seen anything good come out of such political and social choices, he notes, I'm interested!).
And here's the link to discover the blog of Taste of the Other, the very first pictures of the meals and what to do if you want to participate.

Milena Velba Milk Bags-nadine Jansen

secret

From Grand Meaulnes I kept strangely, since my teens, the memories of a sub-soaked wood, a path strewn straight dead leaves: the arbitrariness of memory! This is when what should I keep it, of course, the incomparable atmosphere of the festival which Meaulnes witnessing illegal, expensive blend of madness and deprivation, childlike joy and the sadness of things that end up .
This theme of the secret party, where there is a candid visitor (one who does not know the codes and advances in intruder, stomach, fear of being exposed among the masks), I find him in a movie that me made a strong impression, Eyes Wide Shut, Kubrick : of course, daydreaming of love Meaulnes around the person of Yvonne and fantasies that haunt Bill Harford, starring Tom Cruise, have little to do. However, love in the one and desire in the other take their whole force, I think he's fascinating and dangerous as they offer these festivals one and the other extremely codified (Meaulnes confronted with unexpected rules borrowed from childhood games, Harford to pseudo-religious rituals diverted for erotic). In talking with Mr.
, I realized that the posture of "candid" may cause discomfort similar to the anguish she could not look Eyes Wide Shut to completion. Home, the anxiety is there, but fun too, these celebrations with my mind a strangely distanced representation of my desires and my fears, in equal proportion.

How Do I Cover The Pipesbehind A Pedestal Sink

Times change ...

And as hope seemed to move away from the world, The United States, which we expected much more, give us a hell of a lesson.
The policy of Obama, is quite breathtaking in its mixture of idealism and realism, will perhaps not radically different from that which would have taken another Democrat, but the symbol the message that this country sends to the world by electing this man, with its color and history, is already changing the game.
Come, now ...

Rome still

I promised myself not to speak here of literature, and I do not want. But I have no regrets: in truth, anything that makes me vibrate feeds that I am, what I write, and is therefore a rightful place here.
So I no longer resist the temptation to say a word Rome, the series in two seasons (unfortunately no more) produced by HBO and that evokes the late Republic and early Empire. There among the Anglo-Saxon an amazing relaxation from Roman history and this series, which borrows without hiding to Shakespeare and Mankiewicz, is another testimony.
As often when constructing a fiction based on historical events, the writers of Rome reflect the clash between Pompey and Caesar, Mark Anthony and Octavian, without departing from the version commonly accepted facts of the great, and it is in the gaps of history, exploring the area of the intimate and the world of little people, they deploy all their fantasy fiction, shamelessly and to our pleasure.
But what is for me the most surprising success Rome that between the fictional characters (Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pullo, fabricated to help the viewer to enter the lambda History) and historical figures, it is paradoxically the seconds seemed to me the weakest and the most moving: I was literally fascinated by Ciaran Hinds in the role of Caesar, Tobias Menzies made me aware of humanity of Brutus; about James Purefoy, who plays Marc Antony, his charisma has nothing to envy that of Brando.

Malaysian Used G-wagon

Why this blog?

  • because the internet allowed me to get in touch with many collectors that I would never have known otherwise ... (Hope this continues)
  • because I was able to find lots of information, documents or reproductions of stamps and letters, which do not exist elsewhere ..
  • because stamp collecting is a great need to regain some momentum, especially among young people who have drifted away from it long, for the benefit of new entertainment and web ...
  • because I hope to interest some collectors and have the pleasure to share with them some knowledge ...
  • and especially because the famous Sower has so much charm to our view, it would be a shame to keep them hidden in the depths of our albums ...
An example for Lunch's:
-

Did you know that there is a line Sower, Sower and cameo? without any relation to trafficking or drug use ...

You've seen the one cameo (since 1907!) On the first page of the blog, and here now the one line (the ancestor of the other, in fact, since it exists since 1903!).

The difference is obvious: it is the bottom of the stamp, on which the sower cameo comes off much better than the sower line, why the change was made. You can imagine

certainly not the hard way that he had to go to get there: Two Seeders walking on a floor, and even a test with soil without soil, then two thin Seeders. Total: hundreds of tests and trials to achieve the desired result!

is the fabulous history of the early years of our dear Sower ...

How Many Metres Of Cloth Needed For Anarkali

Hello!

I'm starting today on the web looking for all collectors of stamps and philatelic enthusiasts Sower type.
These stamps have made their debut in France in 1903, and they stay for over a century, always appreciated.

several reasons for this enthusiasm
- they were widely used, and for a long
- there are very many, different in their values, colors, or their types
- several print modes were
Played - some are very rare, others are accessible
- their study is exciting
- their collection can be continued indefinitely, and sometimes occupy a whole life, which is my case.
