Notes from 199 + / - rare or + / - frequent

Curiously, none of our expensive catalogs has never adopted a classification logic in their entries for the books! It's oddly
alphabetical order was chosen, for each type of stamp in the case of 199.
Never worry about timing as is the case for almost all other topics!
Notebooks of 199 have yet been printed for over 5 years, between late 1926 and early 1932 ...
We have seen (the blog archive - September 2010) that aging was now possible, and quite informative, showing clearly the period of coexistence and transition from print to print flat Rotary.

is always based on research from our friends specialists notebooks and meticulous enumeration of the different sets and blankets they were able to establish after decades of collection, we have the following picture:

We preferred to separate the books printed flat of those who have been in Rotary since the efficiency of the latter technique was not commensurate with that of typography flat!
The number of books printed each day has certainly been much higher for printed in a series for a rotating series flat, which does not mean that the books are rotating less rare than the others!
should not generalize.
is sometimes the opposite: the rarest of all is indeed a book rotary (199 C69)! We've talked about for that matter (even archive).

The number of different covers identified is not an accurate reflection of the scarcity of different books, but in our view remains a factor to take into account to evaluate it.
We also include the number of existing series for each book, Another point to know, and the last column, the number of rare covers "localized" with the name of a city, region. For both books
C 44 and C 46, a "+" indicates the existence of covers "History of the shirt" that there are 24 different versions!

Do not deduct any more than the C 3 111 blankets which we know, is 5 times rarer than C 35, we know 23: the mathematical rules do not apply here to the letter.
But the former is certainly more common than the second ...

Also note that some books are exactly the same ads, while their stamps can be 2 different types, their rarity is obviously not the same.
Hence the possibility of confusion, and also the possibility of making a deal or being cheated ... A
your magnifying glasses!

We did not include the books that have only one possible coverage, or those known to too few copies to find their place in the table.

hope this classification may be helpful in your research ...
